Nushrat Jahan is a sophomore attending Stuyvesant High School in Tribeca, New York City. She joined The Spectator, her school's local newspaper, and currently writes for the science department. Apart from writing, she loves to debate in Model UN tournaments and shop around the many stores in Soho, Manhattan. Apart from academics, she fell in love with martial arts after she took Karate classes in the summer of seventh grade. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods from different cultures and painting landscapes.
