Katja '26 is the former Print Editor-in-Chief of The Black and White, Walt Whitman High School’s school newspaper in Bethesda, Maryland. She will continue her writing journey as an incoming freshman at Barnard College, Columbia University. Her work has earned multiple Best of SNO awards, a Scholastic Writing Award in Journalism, and recognition in Maryland writing competitions. In her free time, Katja enjoys reading and advocating for the environment.
