Taia Menefee is a Senior at Beachwood High School in Beachwood, Ohio. She currently serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Beachcomber, where she's been on staff for four years. Dedicated to impactful, equity-centered reporting, Taia received a National Gold Key in Journalism from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, along with Best of SNO awards. She also serves as Co-President of the Ohio Scholastic Media Association Student Board. When she’s not writing, she likes to read and listen to Frank Ocean or SZA.
